It Happened AGAIN!

So, today I was driving home from work around 2:30 pm, I was exiting from CA-85 to the US 101-N when it happened AGAIN!

What happened again? Well, check out this old blog post of mine because the exact same thing happened today as it did on September 20, 2008: http://kjerry.blogspot.com/2008/09/on-road.html. So weird! Why do cops on the 101 drive diagonally across the lanes so no one can pass causing a big traffic jam? I do not understand this behavior. There were no accidents, no cars stalled, no pedestrians in the roadway, nothing!

Well, referring back to my old post made me realize that I'd still like to go for a road trip across the country, maybe when I graduate in June I'll take that trip with my honey. What do you say honey?!

And as inspired by that blog post on September 20th, I picked up another of Jack Karouac's books Big Sur which featured another one of his roadtrips around the bay area. It was really fun to read since I live in this area, and love love love Big Sur!

Ta-Ta ya'll! You'll be hearing from me again soon and often since I'm done with school-work until January! Wahoo!

Thats insane! If it happens again you should take down the license plate number of the cop car and report them, that can't be allowed!

I've seen a few police officers do this before too on the 880. Usually, there's an accident ahead or some traffic congestion but not always. When my uncle (an RCMP officer) died we had a police escort and there were spots when the police officers did this to hold back traffic. Providing that I remember, when I'm back in Canada, I'll ask a few of my relatives who are police officers if there are any other reasons they would do this.

Big Sur is on my list of places to see. My parents ran a marathon there a few years ago and they said it was gorgeous.

Thanks for the rationale Michelle! I've been wondering if it was something like that. Greg suggested that maybe they were clearing debris off the highway.

Well, we should take a group trip to Big Sur this summer all y'all!

Yes, they usually do it if there is a hazard ahead, if they need to move something off of the road or if there is some kind of construction. You may never see the issue, but there is usually something going on and they need to slow people down.
